Santa Monica-Venice Christmas Run Race Details
The Santa Monica-Venice Christmas Run starts at Ocean View Park on Barnard Way and finishes on Pacific Avenue & Windward Avenue on Saturday, December 14th, 2024! Start time for 5K runners is 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM for 10K runners. We’ll be updating this website regularly with new information, so be sure to check back periodically for up-to-date information!

Packet Pick-up
Packet pick-up will be held Thursday, December 12th from 10am – 5pm and Friday, December 13th from 10am – 5pm at Road Runner Sports (1338 4th St, Santa Monica, Ca 90401).
To avoid long lines on race day, we strongly encourage participants to pick up their packets at Road Runner Sports on Thursday or Friday.
Save time on packet pick-up by adding on packet mailing at registration! We’ll ship your runner’s kit including your bib and race day swag right to your door!
Parking Near Start Line
2600 Barnard Way, Santa Monica Located approx. 1 mile from the finish line. Lots open at 5:00am and is cash only.
Parking Near Finish Line
SP+ Parking (N Venice)
Located at 2150 Dell Ave, Venice, CA 90291, and is approx. 1 mile from start line. Entrance for the lot is off N. Venice Blvd and Dell Ave only. All vehicles are required to exit on Dell Ave. Lot opens at 5:00am and is cash only.
Vehicle Crossings & Road Closures
Residents & Businesses between Pacific Avenue and Ocean Front Walk from Marine Court to South Venice Blvd
There will be three crossing points for access to Speedway Via Crossing over Pacific Avenue.
Crossing Point 1: Via Rose Avenue
Controlled crossing from 5:00am – 7:20am, 8:00am – 8:20am & 8:45am to 11:00am
Crossing Point 2: Via Brooks Avenue
Controlled crossing from 5:00am – 8:15am
Crossing Point 3: Via South Venice Blvd to Pacific Avenue
Controlled crossing from 5:00am – 11:00am
Venice Canal Residents
Dell Avenue closed at South Venice Blvd from 5:00am – 11:00am
Any vehicles north of Court A will head north on Dell Avenue to Court E (right), then to Eastern Court (right) for egress. Any vehicles trying to get back into the canals can do so from South of 28th Avenue.
Awards
Awards for top male, female, and overall time will be awarded for each distance. We will not be awarding by age group at this time.
Grab your best Santa suit and join us for the holly jolly costume contest! Prizes for the best costumes will be awarded after top finisher awards are given out.
After Party
